OUR BOOKS
Rede Mob constantly encourages the production of these materials, seeking to expand the database on urban mobility and also to maintain the link between communities of practice and the field of research.

And how is that
materializes
in practice?
The word “mutirão” originates from the Tupi term motyrõ, that means “common work”.
It's the oldest team management technology in the Americas – it's in our blood. Inspired by this intention, we decided to try what it would be like to write a collaborative book and it has worked!
We count on the mobilization of several actors, among them: students, researchers, public managers and enthusiasts in the area and, through a collaborative writing process, we seek to gather different knowledge to build informative and "uncomplicated" materials for the public sector, academia and even the general public.
Making Urban Mobility uncomplicated: Manual of actions for public managers
Organized after the 1st Mob.inc Journey and following the objectives of this event, the 1st book of the Network was designed to support public managers in the effective implementation of a more inclusive, intelligent and sustainable urban mobility agenda.
It had 10 themes that present themselves as challenges for Brazilian cities, being approached in chapters through suggestions of concrete practical actions, success stories and updated scientific references.
The result of a collective effort by almost 70 authors, spread across Brazil and convened through the Network of participants of the first event, enthusiasts and specialists in different areas developed, within the most identified themes, the chapters that made up this final product, divided between Legal Frameworks and Practical Actions.

The Smart City Paradox: Making Data Uncomplicated
Organized within the scope of the Mob 4.0 project, specifically by the Data Policy and Regulation WG, this 2nd book focused on bringing together enthusiasts and specialists in the field of urban mobility management and data collection to, as in the Descomplicando Manual, build a co-participative book.
With a total of 53 authors, this product had 11 chapters, which bring subjects related to the role of data in transport and how to work with them, exploring their collection and application in the most diverse modalities. In addition, they address the relationship of this topic with the General Law for the Protection of Personal Data and its consequent impact on current public policies
that deal with mobility and for the users of urban space.
